About the DMV Rebels Basketball Club

Established in the Summer of 2019, the DMV Rebels Basketball Club offers AAU teams for kids in elementary school, middle school and high school.  We place a focus on individual development, while also creating successful teams at various levels of competition.  Our commitment includes providing a well-organized basketball club with excellent communication to the parents while offering a competitive environment for the players that is always nurturing.  Ideally, we can offer teams that fit our players current and future development, so they can play and grow with us for multiple years – during which, we will foster an appreciation and love for the game.  This is not an "equal playing time" program, but everyone will play in every game.  The amount of playing time for each player will based on skill, aptitude to translate concepts into game situations, attitude and effort.

All of our coaches are professional basketball coaches with current or prior high school experience (at public and private schools in the area).  Each coach has a unique style & personality, but we all share a passion for teaching the love of the game.  Each team will have a dedicated coach for all team practices and games.

All of our teams currently practice at St. Andrews Episcopal School located at 8804 Postoak Rd, Potomac, MD 20854.  The facility has multiple high school size courts and a parent's lounge overlooking both courts (with couches/tables, free Wi-Fi and a 70" TV screen).

Our teams play all year with 4 distinct seasons - Fall, Winter, Spring and Summer.  

Each team and each season may have slight variations that will be explained before each season with input from your coach on what is most needed for the kids development.  

• For our Elementary School teams:  2 team practices a week + league games on the weekends

• For our Middle School teams: similar to Elementary School, with a shift to more tournaments in Spring/Summer and we add a 3rd night for training

• For our High School teams: each season is unique with a focus on exposure tournaments during the Spring/Summer, no Winter season (all our players are playing on their high school teams) and Fall is typically used to get our players ready for their high school season with some tournaments and/or a local league and heavy on player development training

At various times throughout the year, we will also offer additional workouts/training, scrimmages and open gym opportunities for shooting practice and pick-up games
